Nonuttin' Foods Inc :: Granola Bars :: Granola Bars-Raisin
Nonuttin’ Foods Inc. was created by the parents of a food allergic child. As such, we strive to be clear about what allergens are in the ingredients we use and what our manufacturing setup is. We want you to feel comfortable about choosing Nonuttin' products. If you have any questions about our lines or allergens, please feel free to contact us toll free at 1-866-714-5411 or by email at info@nonuttin.com . ALLERGENS AND GLUTEN We have outlined below the top 11 common food allergens and gluten plus a couple of notes about flavors and latex. TOP ELEVEN ALLERGENS and GLUTEN Dairy Mustard No ingredients containing shellfish (including crustaceans) are used in the Nonuttin' facility. Soy Because we are phasing out packaging on products that used to contain soy lecithin or could have been cross contaminated, you may still see a soy warning on our labels. If you have a soy allergy, please read about our transition to our soy free status here: http://www.nonuttin.com/shop/pages.php?pageid=67 Sulfites Canada does not list coconut as a tree nut but the USA does. In any case, we treat coconut as a tree nut declaration with all of our suppliers. No ingredients containing coconut are used in the Nonuttin’ facility. Wheat A Note About Flavors Vanilla Cinnamon Granola: Vanilla Vanilla Caramel Granola: Vanilla Blueberry Maple Granola: Maple Cranberry Apple Granola: Apple Additionally, we closely adhere to all food allergen labeling regulations and would declare any of the top 11 allergens as an allergen warning if the flavors were to contain a top food allergen. Latex MANUFACTURING SET-UP Manufacturing schedules are set up to minimize cross contamination but it may not be completely avoided. Rarely, this line may be running new test recipes that include ingredients from the granola/oatmeal/trail mix/seeds line. Q: How do you make sure your products are free of the listed allergens? Q: If you are now soy free, why do I see soy warnings on packaging I bought on the Nonuttin' online or at a store? First, if you buy any Nonuttin' product that has a Best Before date of June 1, 2013, we actually did have soybeans and/or soy lecithin still present in the facility at that time and the soy warnings are valid and should be considered for those with soy allergies. Second, if you purchased a Nonuttin' product that has a Best Before date ON or AFTER June 1, 2013, and it has a soy declaration on it, you are seeing our environmental plan in the works. That means when we change things, we do our best to use old packaging before beginning the new. So yes, this product is from our newly dedicated soy free facility. If you want to know how we got there you can check out our soy transition information or give us a call to double check toll free at 1-866-714-5411.
